Evidence-based approach. Nutrient-dense whole foods. Behavior change support.

- That’s how it works best.

Nice to meet you.

I have been passionately working in the field of nutrition for over 20 years, including over 8 years as a practicing registered dietitian in the Seattle area. I hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition degree from Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington where I am also proud to have completed a dietetic internship program.

Born in the San Francisco Bay Area, and growing up actively-minded, I quickly learned that good nutrition was key in reaching my fitness goals. I also had a keen awareness of how poor nutrition choices that others (and myself) around me made, negatively affected their health and fitness. If that were true, the flipside would be the ability of good nutrition to enhance and support health, fitness and longevity. I became hooked in this thinking and began what turned out to be decades of study in the science of nutrition.

I believe strongly in the profound effects optimized nutrition has on our health and well being and am evermore inspired by the research that confirms this to be true. I enjoy sharing the benefits of better nutrition with others and I also include this as a core value in my own life. I am passionate about educating on the role and impact that good nutrition plays in many aspects of health from improving energy and well being to weight management to managing and preventing health issues like inflammation, diabetes, blood pressure, cholesterol and GI issues.

I find that the education component tends to be a strong driver of our own personal motivation for change and deepens the connection of nutrition to our health goals. I do believe that each meal brings with it an opportunity to move toward better health, and I utilize both evidence-based clinical expertise and coaching principles to support lifestyle change and improve the health of the those I serve.

I have found — and the science backs this up — that achieving effective outcomes…your goals, is dependent on matching a plan with strong purpose. This lends to a collaborative relationship that we build together in order to determine direction, goals, co-development of personalized meals and snacks, and nutritional education that is all individualized lending to sustainable change and best success. That means shooting for the highest level of nutrition but knowing that we also have to be practical at times depending on situations. It means unpacking your vision for your future self and how you want that version of yourself to feel, look and be in 5 months and in 5 years so we can best develop personalized goals to get us there. A collaborative relationship also means that we are being accountable to one another and the goals that we set together - that’s how it works best.
